[Stronger Method Adoption Example] Replacement of Bent Columns

The construction period is one day! The cost is less than half compared to base plate type or when demolishing and rebuilding.

Our company offers a rockfall protection fence reinforcement method called "Stronger Method," which allows for the reuse of bent posts by utilizing existing structures. First, remove the wire attachment fittings and cut the post at the base (250mm from the top). Then, attach the post connection member (only bolted). Next, install the raised post and reattach the removed wire attachment fittings. Compared to base plate systems or complete demolition and new installation, the cost is less than half, and the construction period can be completed in one day. [Example of Adoption] ■ Location: Yamanashi Prefecture ■ Type: Raised type ■ Work Procedure 1. Remove the wire attachment fittings and cut the post at the base (250mm from the top). 2. Attach the post connection member (only bolted). 3. Install the raised post and reattach the removed wire attachment fittings. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Stronger Method Adoption Example: Yamanashi Prefecture

Change the height from 2m to 3m! This method allows for approximately half the cost and a significant reduction in construction time.

We would like to introduce an example of the "Stronger Method," a rockfall protection fence reinforcement project that utilizes existing structures in Yamanashi Prefecture. There were instances of rockfalls exceeding the fence, and there was a desire to increase the height of the fence. Additionally, although a high-energy protection fence had already been designed, it was costly. There were also bent posts that the client wanted to reuse if possible, which led to the adoption of this method. The height was changed from 2m to 3m using a raising type to meet the desired fence height. Furthermore, this method allows for approximately half the cost and significant shortening of the construction period. Regarding the bent posts, part of the base of the posts was retained and raised to accommodate the situation. 【Adoption Example】 ■ Location: Yamanashi Prefecture ■ Type: Raising Type ■ Reasons for Adoption - There were rockfalls exceeding the fence, and there was a desire to increase the fence height. → Addressed with the raising type (H=2.0→3.0m) - A high-energy protection fence had already been designed, but it was costly. → Approximately half the cost and significant shortening of the construction period. - There were bent posts that the client wanted to reuse. → Raised by retaining part of the base of the posts. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce an example of the "Stronger Method," which is a reinforcement work for rockfall protection fences utilizing existing structures in Fukushima Prefecture. There were rockfalls that exceeded the fence, and there was a desire to increase the height of the fence. Additionally, it was adopted with consideration for the landscape and to accommodate landscape colors. The height was changed from 1.5m to 2.5m using a raised type to meet the desired fence height. Furthermore, we were able to accommodate landscape colors with hot-dip galvanized coating plus painting. 【Adoption Example】 ■ Location: Fukushima Prefecture ■ Type: Raised type ■ Reasons for Adoption - There were rockfalls that exceeded the fence, and there was a desire to increase the height of the fence. → Addressed with a raised type (H = 1.5m to 2.5m) - There was a desire to accommodate landscape colors with consideration for the landscape. → Possible to accommodate with hot-dip galvanizing plus painting. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Groundbreaking rockfall prevention method "Stronger Method" *Case study collection giveaway

Easily, cheaply, and quickly raise the height of the existing stone guard! [Check the easy installation in the video]

We are currently offering a catalog featuring case studies of the Stronger Method, which has been adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism! For more details, please download it. The Stronger Method is a completely new rockfall countermeasure technique that utilizes existing rockfall protection fences without any special processing, allowing for reinforcement and an increase in fence height. It can raise the fence height "easily, inexpensively, and in a short period," and the rockfall capture performance is more than doubled! It is compatible with both new and existing H-beam type rockfall protection fences. Adoption Case (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) ● Initially planned to "break down the retaining wall → new construction," but wanted to minimize damage to the retaining wall as it had been repaired multiple times. → No need for any demolition (or core drilling) of the retaining wall concrete. ● As it is a major national road, we wanted to shorten the traffic regulation period. → Only one day of regulation during material delivery (normally, regulations last about two weeks). ● We wanted to utilize existing stock and reduce costs. → No processing required for existing structures, resulting in about a 20% cost reduction compared to new construction. *For more details about the case studies, please contact us or download the catalog to view.
