Protecting the landscape, protecting lives. The installation of SEAWALLs aimed at landscape preservation and flood prevention in the Yuriage area of Miyagi Prefecture is progressing.

In the Yuriage area of Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, the installation of a seawall has been carried out. This area suffered significant damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake and has been slow to recover, but the installation of the seawall is expected to enhance the safety of the region.
The installation of the seawall is an important measure to protect the area from flooding caused by earthquakes and tsunamis. In the Yuriage area, a seawall equipped with acrylic windows has been constructed around the selected port area. The seawall features acrylic windows that are 30mm thick, 1000mm high, and 2500mm wide.
Specialized equipment and materials, including acrylic windows, were used for the installation of the seawall, and optimal design and construction methods were considered through prior meetings and trial and error.
The completed seawall harmonizes with the local landscape, and its beauty is further enhanced when the sun shines. Local residents and stakeholders express their gratitude for the careful work and its results.
The installation of this seawall greatly contributes to the region's flood prevention measures and the improvement of disaster awareness. We hope that efforts to ensure the safety of the community will continue.
