Disposer trouble response

Previously, we received a report from a customer for whom we had installed a disposer, stating that the disposer had stopped working. We visited the customer's home. The cause was due to a jam, which had locked the turntable and activated the safety device. Using the specialized tools that the customer had stored, we carried out the recovery work following these steps: 1. Remove the foreign object that caused the jam → 2. Use tools to unlock the turntable → 3. Reset the disposer (release the safety device) *Before starting the work, please make sure to unplug the disposer to prevent it from starting up. The recovery is now complete. Once you become familiar with it, you can also perform the recovery yourself. As such, the disposer is equipped with functions to protect itself from malfunctions, and the recovery work is simple, allowing you to use it with peace of mind.

Disposer trouble support!

We conducted foreign object removal work on the disposer. We received a report that a part of the decoration from a copper vase had fallen and landed in the disposer processing facility, so we visited the customer's home. This time, since the disposer had not been operated before the foreign object removal, it did not lead to a malfunction. If a foreign object falls into the disposer, please do not move it recklessly before removal. Recklessly moving it can cause it to jam and lead to a malfunction. If you decide to perform the work yourself, please make sure to unplug the disposer before starting the work to ensure it does not operate during the process.

If you are considering installing a disposer or have any doubts or concerns, please feel free to consult us.

New installation of a disposer!

The customer this time became interested in a disposer while preparing to start cooking for themselves due to a job transfer and decided to install one. Before the installation, they had been avoiding cooking due to the hassle of cleaning the sink drain, but since the installation, they seem to be more enthusiastic about cooking, having been freed from the burden of drain cleaning. When it comes to installing such a device in a rental property, it may not be possible depending on the owner's intentions. If you are considering installation, please check whether the rental agreement includes any provisions regarding the installation of a disposer. Additionally, depending on the shape of the sink, construction involving cutting or drilling may be necessary. In such cases, please understand that installation is generally not permitted in rentals. (However, there may be instances where the owner agrees to allow the construction after negotiation.)

New installation of a disposer!

A disposer was installed in a newly built family home in Wakayama Prefecture. It seems that the decision to install the disposer was made after selecting the kitchen. This time, due to interference with the drawer section of the kitchen, it could not be installed as is, so modifications were made to the drawer to allow for installation. The model installed is the YS-8100 from From Industries, and the operation method is a lid switch type, which is the mainstream model in Japan.

Panasonic Rakushina disposal installation work

This time, the site featured a Panasonic system kitchen, which is popular for kitchen renovations. In the case of renovations in condominiums with disposers, kitchen replacement work is sometimes carried out. In general kitchen renovations, when installing a disposer, it is often the case that only stainless steel sinks can be chosen. This is because many modern system kitchen drainage outlets are of the integrated molding type, and in the case of artificial marble sinks, there is often not enough opening size required for installing a disposer. Our company also performs retrofitting installation work for disposers, even with such artificial marble sinks. If you have any questions about the content, please feel free to contact us.

New installation of Panasonic Seamless Sink!

This time, we installed a disposer in Panasonic's seamless sink (stainless steel type). Normally, this sink, which has a narrow drain opening, cannot accommodate a disposer, but our company can modify the sink to make it possible. Since the inlet of the disposer is also made of stainless steel, it blends well with the sink made of the same material, resulting in a finish that feels natural. The storage space under the sink has been notched to accommodate the disposer, so while it may not have the same storage capacity as before, we have ensured as much storage space as possible while maintaining the usability of the kitchen, allowing you to use the disposer with minimal impact.

Replacing the disposer in a detached house!

This time, we replaced the disposer based on a contact from a local plumbing company. The customer consulted us about issues with their disposer, and upon researching available contractors, they found our company and reached out to us. After receiving the request and checking the site, we found that they were using an old model made by Anaheim. They reported unusual noises during operation, and upon closer inspection, we discovered that the swing hammer inside the grinding chamber had fallen off due to corrosion, and there was visible wear and tear in various areas due to age. We determined that it would be more cost-effective to replace it with a new unit rather than repair it, so we replaced it with a similar type of product. Additionally, there was no trap installed in the plumbing before the replacement, which made it easier for odors to rise, so we implemented a solution using an S-trap. If you experience any issues with your disposer, please feel free to consult us.

In recent years, while the size of residential spaces has been shrinking, there has been a growing demand from architects and designers for designs that "reduce lines as much as possible." However, designing spaces to appear clean and spacious by making door heights reach the ceiling or by minimizing the visibility of frames has posed challenges that require high skill levels from carpenters and significant construction time when attempted with conventional on-site construction methods. Against this backdrop, this year's Dretas has developed doors and storage fixtures that do not reveal frames, with the concept of "creating a noise-free space with empty space." ■ Base Frame (Fixtures) The structure hides the frame within the wall, achieving a refined design without the frame being visible from either side. It features a specially designed frame and concealed hinges that allow for 180-degree opening and closing. Frame widths (132mm, 147mm, 183mm) are set to accommodate wall thickness, eliminating the need for frame processing and supporting smooth installation. ■ Outset Frame (Storage Fixtures) The structure has the frame attached to the inside of the door, allowing the door and wall to fit flatly together. It can be configured for two or three panels, seamlessly blending even large wall storage into the space as if it were "just a wall." By using additional elements like the 3mm thick "Baseboard S-type," the installation becomes even more beautiful, enhancing the noise-free space.
