Wet snow in Niigata Prefecture

Hokkaido and Nagano Prefecture are known as areas with heavy snowfall, where it seems that there is a lot of "cold, falling snow" and "light, powdery snow."
On the other hand, the characteristics of the snow that falls on the Sea of Japan side, including Niigata Prefecture, seem to be "snow that falls even when it is not particularly cold" and "wet snow that sticks heavily."
To accommodate short bursts of heavy snowfall, Hokueki Yusetsu has established as standard design conditions to "melt snow while keeping up with 3 cm per hour and 72 cm of new snow per day."
We can accommodate both more and less than this, so please feel free to contact us for individual consultations.
