[Column] Will the paid smoking area business model become widespread?

The issue of smoking has been addressed for a long time, but many people likely associate it with the "health hazards caused by tobacco smoke."
As the health risks of secondhand smoke have been recognized as a problem, society as a whole has moved towards promoting a smoke-free environment.
The recent push towards smoking bans has been significantly influenced by the "Revised Health Promotion Act," which was fully implemented on April 1, 2020.
The amendment to the law has led to a movement towards complete smoking bans in restaurants, offices, hotels, golf courses, other commercial facilities, public institutions, and public transportation, resulting in the removal of ashtrays that were previously installed in these buildings.
Approximately 27.1% of men and 7.6% of women smoke regularly, which affects a large number of smokers.
While the enforcement of the Revised Health Promotion Act impacts many citizens, it seems that it has not been widely covered in the media, such as on television, leading to a feeling that public awareness has not fully permeated. Is this just my impression?
