[Science Column] What Science Seeks: The Evolution and Limits of AI (2)

This document is part of a series of science columns (2).
Many people say that the ultimate goal in the field of electronics is "AI."
By organizing and storing various information that exists in the world and inputting methods and purposes for the correlation of that information—information integration—into computers, we can enable the computers themselves to become autonomous. If they can further absorb vast amounts of information and explore multiple pathways for solving themes and problems, the autonomy of computers will advance even further. Regardless of the initial goals, they will be able to derive accurate "solutions" as computers without human intervention.
This is the goal of "AI," and in some cases, it may represent the aim of science or perhaps an "ideal" or "shortcut" toward the path of happiness for all humanity.
