A double-sided adhesive tape made with post-consumer recycled materials and biomass-derived adhesives is now available!

Awareness of the SDGs is increasing worldwide. Efforts are being made to reduce the "environmental footprint," which is an index of the burden on the environment, for consumer devices such as smartphones that are essential in daily life.
We have developed the tesa(R) 6887x series by re-evaluating each material of adhesive tape and using recycled materials and natural materials. This is a double-sided adhesive tape made from PET substrate, commonly used for fixing and assembling various devices in the electronics industry.
At tesa, we will continue to pursue the sustainability of our adhesive tape products.
【Features】
- 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials used for the PET substrate and liner. PCR materials are collected after being in the hands of consumers as plastic materials and are newly recycled materials.
- Acrylic-based adhesive derived from biomass is used. 75% of the carbon contained in the adhesive comes from biomass (measured by the bio-based concentration test standard: ASTM D6866 carbon-14 analysis method).
*Tape thickness (3 products in total): 30µm / 50µm / 100µm
