To maintain accuracy, the intensity of the light beam is constantly monitored and adjusted. An LCD display is incorporated, which automatically calculates and displays the maximum, minimum, and average values of each batch of test results, and also stores them. Additionally, the standard deviation is shown. It can store up to 4,000 readings and can output to a computer or printer via an RS232 interface as needed. | ● No need to set to zero. ● Calibration data and approximately 4000 records will be stored for 10 years on a lithium battery.
To measure "gloss," a beam of light of a certain intensity is directed at the surface of the product at a specific angle, and the amount of light reflected at the same angle is observed. A gloss meter is used to measure this reflected light. The required reflection angle for measurement varies depending on the surface characteristics of the product. ● High-gloss surfaces Well-polished, high-quality surfaces reflect a clear image. This is because the incident light is reflecting at the specular reflection angle. ● Medium-gloss and low-gloss surfaces (matte) The images reflected on medium-gloss and matte surfaces appear faint and blurry. This is because, although the incident light is reflecting at the specular reflection angle, there is also light that is being scattered at the same time. | ■Usage Painting surfaces, plastic, ceramics, metal, film, stone, etc.
■Features ● Capable of measuring gloss levels up to 2,000 GU ● Small measurement area: 6×6.4mm. Optional adapters allow for 2×2mm and 4×4mm measurements. ● Automatic correction of sample tilt. ● Compact and lightweight (550g) handheld type. ● USB connection for data transfer to PC. | Gloss meter
