In a hot water system without an expansion tank, the expansion water is discarded outside the system through the safety valve. Each time the boiler is turned on and off, expansion water is discarded, resulting in a significant loss of energy. However, by using an expansion tank to seal the system, the previously discarded expansion water is temporarily absorbed within the expansion tank. This leads to water conservation benefits and also contributes to energy savings.

• Water supply facilities

In an open air conditioning system, circulating water comes into contact with the atmosphere, leading to ongoing oxidation and corrosion due to oxygen. This results in the formation of oxides that scale and adhere to the pipes, ultimately causing blockages and corrosion. Additionally, using steel plates in heating equipment can lead to water leaks due to corrosion. By sealing the air conditioning system and keeping the circulating water in a canned (sealed) state away from the atmosphere, we can protect the system equipment and pipes from oxidative corrosion. This significantly extends the lifespan of the system. Installing the expansion tank indoors, such as in a boiler room or mechanical room, helps prevent freezing.

In the event of a clogged drain, the double backflow prevention mechanism prevents backflow of wastewater.
