Free membership registrationIt is known that the power generation efficiency of gasification power generation equipment is high, but there have been many reports of gas engine troubles caused by tar, resulting in a very low actual operating rate. A low operating rate leads to reduced power transmission and also incurs maintenance costs for the engine, making it economically unviable. URBAS's combined heat and power equipment has been operating smoothly in all the units delivered so far, achieving a high operating rate. This is possible due to the adoption of a downdraft gasifier and an excellent gas cleaning system, which generates clean wood gas that contains almost no tar, resulting in very few engine troubles and enabling continuous operation. The power output is 150-250 kW, and the thermal output is approximately 300-500 kW, with the equipment being packaged and designed to be very compact. The fuel used is wood chips.
