With the renewal of Tsutenkaku's exterior lighting, the majority of the neon tubes have been switched to LED, reducing power consumption by approximately 50% compared to before, while also allowing for a more diverse lighting display with an increase from four colors to six. The lighting now expresses six colors throughout the year (January-February: white, March-April: cherry blossom pink, May-June: green, July-August: light blue, September-November: gold, December: teal), enhancing the seasonal feel and the presence of the tower as a local symbol.
