The factory air piping, which supports stable operations in factories, and the industrial Ethernet that connects FA equipment, both play crucial roles in conveying the power and information of the automated factory, akin to blood vessels, despite differing transmission media. In most factories, compressed air experiences an energy loss of about 20-30% due to air leaks. On the other hand, network wiring that controls production equipment and robots is affected by vibrations, liquids, chemicals, and noise, leading to performance degradation and malfunctions. In the worst case, both can cause equipment shutdowns, resulting in significant economic losses and potentially serious accidents. In this seminar, we will introduce the 'energy-saving' realization of the compressed air supply pipes, which can be considered the arteries of the factory, along with the 'Fluke ii900/ii910 ultrasonic cameras' that help prevent emergency stops. We will also present the 'DSX2-5-IE-K1 industrial Ethernet cable tester' for performance verification and fault diagnosis of industrial Ethernet networks during production line setups, as well as the 'LinkIQ industrial cable + network tester' that enables diagnostics of network switches and communication tests for IP networks.

Free membership registrationTektronix & Fluke Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) will introduce energy-saving measures using portable ultrasonic cameras ii900, which visualize "air, gas, and vacuum leaks" from numerous microphones in factories and plant facilities, and ii910, which also enables "partial discharge detection." We will invite the Energy Conservation Center as a guest to discuss the importance of energy conservation in achieving carbon neutrality and the utilization of ultrasonic cameras. 【Webinar Date】 May 13 (Friday) 10:00–11:00 Webinar main session (1 hour) Energy-saving measures and the use of ultrasonic cameras in carbon neutrality Guest Speaker: Akio Fujibayashi, Ph.D., Deputy Director, Energy Conservation Technology Department, Energy Conservation Center Lecture Summary This presentation will explain how to efficiently and effectively promote energy conservation by uncovering energy-saving points through a checklist, focusing on the wasteful compressed air systems in manufacturing sites such as factories. ▼ Click here to participate in the free webinar ▼ https://forms.fluke.com/IG-JP-MULTI-2022-MAR-WEBINAR-JAJP-LP-1-A?utm

Free membership registrationTektronix & Fluke Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has started selling the new products, the Fluke VT06 & VT08 visual infrared thermometers. With a compact design and upgraded features, these devices visualize temperature measurements and provide clear and accurate infrared images. Significantly improved temperature measurement efficiency with high resolution With a resolution of 120 ✕ 90, this device exceeds 10,000 infrared pixels, which is 12 times that of the previous model. By checking the details of the temperature distribution, problem areas can be identified more quickly. Key features: - Detailed observations with 120 ✕ 90 resolution. - Wide temperature range from -20 °C to 400 °C. - Distinguish targets by overlaying visual images with infrared heat maps. - IP65 rated for dust and water resistance, capable of withstanding a 2-meter drop, suitable for harsh industrial environments. - Charging time of approximately 2 hours, with a battery life of about 5 hours. - Single-level interface, Open-and-View.

Free membership registration**Fluke Online Seminar** About Risks and Guard Bands in Judgment Rules We will hold a webinar explaining the concept of risks and guard bands in the judgment rules of ISO/IEC 17025, including its relation to Dave Deaver's paper on guard bands. We will introduce the judgment rules introduced in the 2017 revision of ISO/IEC 17025 through the following three points: 1) Review of important materials and papers regarding judgment rules and guard bands 2) Explanation of what exists regarding judgment rules and risks based on ILAC G8:09 (Guide to Judgment Rules) 3) Dave Deaver's guard bands can be used in the calculation of global risk within judgment rules. We will demonstrate the risk calculation procedures from Deaver's paper and explain what global risk entails. **Contact Information** Tektronix & Fluke Corporation Calibration Sales Department TEL: 03-6714-3114 E-mail: jp info@flukecal.com
