The UHF band RFID reader/writer "ARETE POP," which allows for the reading of IC tags by attaching it to the headphone jack of smartphones and tablets, has improved its reading performance and is releasing a new model "ARETE POP2 (model number: A200-J)" that can also be used as a desktop reader, with orders starting on January 21. This product is a compact UHF band RFID reader/writer that can be used with iPhones, Android smartphones, and tablets. It is well-received by first-time RFID users due to its ease of use, as it simply requires attaching the device to the headphone jack and pointing it at the IC tag for reading. The newly released model "ARETE POP2" can be used in a 2-way manner as a desktop reader by utilizing the included USB cable and cradle (sold separately). Additionally, it maintains the same weight and size as the previous model while enhancing the reading distance by approximately 1.5 times. Examples of usage scenarios unique to the 2-way functionality include lending management in libraries, attendance management in schools and companies, and even guiding and directing attendees at event venues by switching to the headphone jack type for entry registration.
