We would like to introduce a case where Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. implemented "KG ZAICO" with the aim of preventing excess inventory and reducing costs. The company was managing the inventory of parts for heavy machinery using Excel, and the number of types of parts had increased by about 20% compared to five years ago, while the inventory value had increased by about 50%. After the implementation, inventory processing was conducted upon delivery of ordered parts, and inventory was processed when parts were used for maintenance, allowing for real-time confirmation of the current inventory quantity.
