Our company utilizes non-standard smoked tiles (unglazed tiles) crushed into gravel for use as aggregate, aiming to promote the attachment and growth of zoospores (seeds) released from seaweeds. We handle a porous seaweed attachment substrate (Cerapora) made by mixing natural fibers and iron powder, solidified with cement paste. The substrate has a surface with suitable uneven shapes for seaweed attachment, making it easy for seaweed spores (seeds) to adhere, and also facilitating the establishment of holdfasts and attachment organs.
