It began with a market size of about 30 billion yen in that fiscal year and has grown to approximately 600 billion yen by the 2023 fiscal year, expanding twentyfold. However, consumer awareness remains around 25%. Functional foods present a significant opportunity for companies, but creating a hit product requires a clear vision, strong belief, and practical skills to overcome challenges.
