KOALA Tech Co., Ltd. (Location: Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City, Representative Director: Jean Charles Ribierre) has begun joint research and development on device technology aimed at the practical application of organic semiconductor laser elements with Sony Group Corporation (Location: Minato Ward, Tokyo, Chairman and President CEO: Kenichiro Yoshida). By combining our expertise in the development of organic semiconductor laser diode (OSLD) technology with the semiconductor manufacturing technology cultivated by Sony Group, we will jointly conduct research and development on innovative and high-performance device technology for organic semiconductor lasers that enables efficient laser oscillation. This will create new applications that leverage the characteristics of OSLD.

KOALA Tech Co., Ltd. (Location: Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City, Representative Director: Takashi Fujiwara) has been selected for "J-startup KYUSHU," a regional version of the "J-Startup Program" that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has been implementing to support startups since 2018, which was established in December 2021.
