■New Type of Boring Survey The new boring survey machine "VD Boring," developed by Something, is a compact self-propelled survey device that eliminates the need for setting up scaffolding or preparing test water. It can conduct boring surveys not only outdoors but also indoors and in confined spaces. Like conventional boring surveys, it can perform "Standard Penetration Tests" based on JIS A 1219, allowing for the assessment of soil hardness, compaction, and the composition of soil layers, as well as sampling of soil types. It can handle ground conditions with N values of around 20 up to a depth of approximately GL-20m. This new type reduces construction time and costs compared to traditional methods. Additionally, all survey depths and N values are managed through the GeoWeb system, establishing traceability from on-site operations to reporting. As a result, the submission of preliminary data is faster and free from data tampering compared to traditional methods. ■Conventional Boring Survey Since its inception, Something has built a strong track record across the country and possesses a vast amount of survey data. There are no restrictions on the depth that can be surveyed.

■High-Accuracy Ground Investigation The SWS test is a simple test, and therefore, the accuracy is low with only on-site measurements, making it impossible to evaluate the ground. Something conducts (1) detailed on-site surveys. (2) On-site measurements are carried out by skilled technicians using fully automated investigation equipment. (3) A preliminary investigation is conducted using the ground investigation data held, along with topographic maps, aerial photographs, geological maps, and other materials. By analyzing the ground from multiple angles using the data from 1, 2, and 3, we achieve a high-accuracy ground investigation. ■Distribution of Quick Data to Customers Through the GeoWeb system, data stored on a dedicated server from the site is distributed to customers as quick data after being confirmed by the person in charge. ■From On-Site Measurement to Report Submission At Something, we provide high-accuracy SWS tests nationwide with the same quality by utilizing fully automated ground investigation equipment and the GeoWeb system, ensuring no tampering or incorrect input. We also submit ground investigation reports that are easy for clients to understand.
