We would like to introduce the sea trial data for the 'Soundproof Room Malie' handled by Akasaka Iron Works Co., Ltd. In July 2018, the soundproof room Malie was installed on a vessel subject to noise regulations. The noise reduction effect of this product was confirmed during the sea trial. The measurement results of the B deck noise level at 82% load showed that the product installed on the port side was approximately 5 decibels quieter than the general noise control room located at a symmetrical position on the starboard side. We have developed a loading testing machine capable of applying arbitrary loads up to 60 MN, one of the largest in Japan, to conduct load tests on the main components of seismic isolation devices that we manufacture. Not limited to components of seismic isolation devices, we can perform loading tests on any items that fit within the testing space of 1800mm in width, 1800mm in depth, and 760mm in height. We also accept requests for loading tests on components subjected to heavy loads, such as those used in bridges, buildings, and ships.

Since the installation environment often involves limited space and requires considerations for disaster prevention, simple construction and non-combustibility are required. Additionally, researchers frequently move between research institutions, making it important for the laboratory to be disassembled and reassembled. This soundproof room is constructed using panels for the floor, walls, ceiling, and doors that are pre-manufactured in the factory and then assembled on-site. We would like to introduce noise control measures using soundproof boxes from manufacturers we have been dealing with for some time. The consultation we received this time was regarding noise from the drive motor of a rolling mill used in the company's factory. Although they had equipped it with an in-house manufactured cover, the noise level was still high. We measured the noise level again after installing a soundproof box in place of the existing in-house motor cover.
