The "OSJ-CONG method" suppresses the outflow of groundwater from the face and the inflow of groundwater from the excavation bottom, eliminating the need for groundwater lowering methods such as well points and auxiliary waterproofing methods like chemical injection. By equipping the OSJ machine itself with collection and drainage functions, it eliminates the prior lowering of groundwater levels and allows for early recovery of water levels after passing through the OSJ machine. Furthermore, by minimizing the duration of groundwater level reduction, it prevents impacts on the surrounding area. 【Features】 ■ Prevents collapse of the face by suppressing the outflow of groundwater from the face. ■ Improves the constructability of the foundation by suppressing the inflow of groundwater from the excavation bottom. ■ Eliminates prior lowering of groundwater levels and enables early recovery of water levels after passing through the OSJ machine. ■ Minimizes the duration of groundwater level reduction, thereby preventing impacts on the surrounding area. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "OSJ Method" is a continuous excavation shield pipe (box) installation method that involves performing a series of operations from excavation to backfilling while conducting soil retention using an open shield machine (OSJ machine) during the underground construction of pipes (box culverts) and open channels in urban areas. With a wealth of construction achievements, continuous improvements to the machinery, and numerous patents obtained, this method has now established itself as a reliable and unique construction technique, enabling safer and faster construction. Additionally, this method is registered in ARIC (Agricultural and Rural Development Private Technology Database). 【Features】 ■ Reduction of impact on living environments and decrease in traffic disruptions ■ Improved safety ■ Wide applicability ■ Significant shortening of construction periods ■ Cost reduction *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
