Iron Man Table 2

Redesigning a universal and minimalist masterpiece table.

This is a minimalist table designed by architect Egon Eiermann for his own studio, born in 1953. In the original model, the crossbar was fixed diagonally, but it has been vertically secured from the floor, and the inner width of the frame is designed to be 220mm wider, making it excellent for use as a dining table for side-by-side or face-to-face seating. ● A frame that balances design and functionality Maintaining the minimalist design concept of simply placing a tabletop on a steel frame devoid of unnecessary decorations, it can now accommodate a wider range of uses than ever before. ● Attention to detail in every aspect The linoleum-finished tabletop, which deepens in character with use, is complemented by solid oak on the sides, showcasing a commitment to detail in its construction. ● Flexible height adjustment feature Height adjustment is possible from 718 to 858mm (in 35mm increments/5 levels). It features a simple mechanism where you just move the movable pipe up and down and insert an L-shaped bracket. It can also be used as a standing table.

Iron Man Table

A universal and minimal masterpiece table.

This is a minimalist table designed by architect Egon Eiermann for his own studio, born in 1953. It features a simple structure with a steel frame supporting the tabletop, showcasing a beautiful design that eliminates unnecessary decorations. This table, which reflects Eiermann's attention to detail, is one of the universal masterpieces that does not allow for imitation by other products. In 1995, Richard Lampert acquired the production rights for this table and reissued it with modern specifications that allow for knockdown, while maintaining the original details and quality. The variety of sizes and color options is also one of its attractions. ● Spacious Work Area The tabletop depth is 800mm, providing ample space even when a PC is placed on it. It is also a suitable size for dining. ● Practical User-Centric Options (sold separately) There are dedicated options such as a cable channel for storing wires from computers and a CPU holder for placing devices like computer towers and routers.

Persimmon Chair

The pinnacle of Japanese modernity.

In 1960, an innovative chair using Japan's first racket structure (with a slot processing technique) was redesigned by Jo Sakai and presented at the Milan Triennale. The exhibition layout at the Milan Triennale was designed by Junzo Sakakura Architectural Research Institute, and Jo Sakai, who was a member of the institute at the time, was responsible for the furniture design. The organically shaped backrest is inspired by the curve created when a persimmon is cut vertically in half. It pairs exceptionally well with the mushroom base table designed by Jo Sakai, making it an ideal dining chair. You can choose the upholstery from vinyl leather or fabric. The vinyl leather model features a treatment that makes it resistant to stains on the surface, and even if dirt adheres, it is easy to clean, providing a material with anti-soiling properties. It is also resistant to discoloration, ensuring that the color remains vibrant over time. The fabric model is made from a wool blend material, giving it a soft and gentle impression. Additionally, the Triennale model with a two-tone upholstery option features colors selected by Jo Sakai himself.

Mushroom Base Table

Structural beauty inspired by concrete architecture.

The table designed for the International Cultural Center has been reimagined by the designer, Jō Daisaku himself. It features a mushroom-like base inspired by concrete architecture and gently curved tabletops. The size is optimal for use as a dining table, and it pairs exceptionally well with the persimmon chair, which is also designed by Jō Daisaku. The tabletop is not square but rather a rectangular shape with arcs. This form is designed so that the gaze of those seated naturally converges towards the center. It is a beautifully curved table born from Jō Daisaku's commitment to form. Additionally, hardware is installed on the underside of the tabletop to prevent sagging, ensuring long-lasting use.

Good Design Long Life Design Award Winner "Rikis Tool"

Stool made of sturdy cardboard.

The Riki stool, designed in 1965, is a lightweight stool that, while having sufficient load-bearing capacity as a chair, can be played with by children like building blocks. Its sturdy construction enhances the robustness of the recyclable material cardboard. At the time of its release, it became a topic of conversation for being able to support the weight of an elephant with four stools. It won the Good Design Long Life Design Award in 2021. Designed as part of an exhibition organized by Fujingaho in the year following the Tokyo Olympics in 1965, the cardboard Riki stool, seemingly going against the trends of the rapid economic growth period, is recognized for its foresight in emphasizing designs that are friendly to both people and the environment long before they became a priority.

Solid Stool

A refined form combining different materials.

The "Solid Stool," designed by Riki Watanabe as a stool to be placed at the entrance, was part of the furniture design for the "House of the Mathematician" (1954, Meguro, Tokyo) by the renowned architect Kiyoshi Seike, who represents Japan. At that time, there were not many options for ready-made products, and almost all furniture was custom-made. This stool later gained attention in various fields, including being installed in the waiting room of a photography studio (Minato, Tokyo) and exhibited at the Modern Living Exhibition held at Takashimaya, but it was not commercialized at the time. It was not until 2005, half a century after its design, that it was reissued by Metrox. The solid wood seat and steel rod legs create a linear and refined form, reminiscent of Riki Watanabe's representative work, the "Tori Stool" (1957), which won the first Milan Triennale Gold Medal awarded to a Japanese designer. The slope of the seat, which characterizes this form, embodies Watanabe's intention that "it should be more comfortable to sit on than a flat seat." Additionally, a handhold hole designed for portability is incorporated between the two seat boards, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in its minimalist structural beauty.

Rikimobile Chamber

The mobile made of copper, the material that Riki Watanabe loved the most.

At that time, Q Designers, led by Riki Watanabe, who was heavily involved in the design of showrooms and hotel lounges, designed the main bar "Chamble" of the Shimbashi Daiichi Hotel in 1976. The material he favored most, "copper," was used for the interior walls and also in the mobile hanging in the bar space. This mobile was commercialized by Metrox in 2017 as the "Riki Mobile Chamble." Composed of a combination of copper plates and solid teak wood, this mobile combines the heaviness of the materials with a lightness of form, creating a chic space. The commercialized model features a vibration finish on the surface of the copper plates, resulting in a calm texture.

Ulm Stool Walnut

Furniture that symbolizes the Bauhaus philosophy of eliminating waste.

Max Bill Art Frame

Vivid art created by mathematical interpretation.

The graphic art "Variation Series," created based on a single original design using the keywords "continuity," "development," and "expansion," is framed in a special frame. It was released as an art frame to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Max Bill's birth. Max Bill's "15 Variations on a Single Theme" is a concrete art piece that develops 15 variations based on a single theme (original design) that serves as the foundation for ideas, using the keywords "continuity," "development," and "expansion." This series focuses on mathematical interpretations with regularity and aims for logical visual expression. The work "Variation 1" reconstructs the spiral shape of the original design by connecting points and using only straight lines to form a surface. Each polygon is vividly depicted in six colors: yellow, red, green, blue, orange, and purple.

Max Bill Rug Color Wheel

An art-like living rug

The graphic art created by Max Bill, the last master of the Bauhaus, has been turned into a rug. ● Faithfully reproduced "colorful accents. /1946" Based on the original artwork released in 1946, we have faithfully reproduced the colors. Under the supervision of the foundation, we obtained approval for the yarn samples after dyeing before commercializing the product. ● High-quality made in Japan Using yarn produced domestically, this rug is crafted by artisans by hand, resulting in a high-quality finish. The pile height is 15mm for acrylic and 13cm for wool, providing a fluffy and soft texture. It is compatible with floor heating and hot carpets, allowing for comfortable use all year round. ● Easy-care acrylic material Each fiber contains a lot of air, giving it a soft and warm texture. With low water absorption, it is resistant to water-soluble stains, and there is no concern about mold. It is strong against friction, durable, and made from a material that can express vibrant colors. ● Beautiful and long-lasting wool With water-repellent properties, it is resistant to stains and has excellent moisture retention. It is highly elastic, and furniture marks can be restored with steam. The dye penetrates deeply into the fibers, making it resistant to fading, ensuring that the beautiful colors and luster last a long time.

The graphic art created by Max Bill, the last master of the Bauhaus, has been directly transformed into a rug. ● Faithfully reproducing "colorful accents. /1946" Based on the original artwork, we have faithfully reproduced the colors. Under the supervision of the foundation, we obtained approval for the yarn samples after dyeing before commercializing the product. ● High-quality made in Japan Using yarn spun domestically, this product is crafted by artisans, resulting in a high-quality finish. The pile height is 15mm for acrylic and 13mm for wool, providing a fluffy and soft texture. It is compatible with floor heating and hot carpets, ensuring comfort for all seasons. ● Easy-care acrylic Each fiber contains a lot of air, giving it a soft and warm texture. With low water absorption, it is resistant to water-soluble stains and does not harbor mold. It is strong against friction, durable, and made from a material that can express vibrant colors. ● Beautiful and long-lasting wool With water-repellent properties, it is resistant to stains and has excellent moisture retention. It is highly elastic, allowing furniture marks to be restored with steam. The dye penetrates deeply into the fibers, making it resistant to fading, so the beautiful colors and luster last a long time.

Folding Trolley "Taitto"

Sustainable bamboo material trolley

We collaborated with Finnish designer Miska Kuntzi to create a folding wagon made from bamboo laminated wood. This trolley features a lightweight skeletal structure that utilizes the robust properties of bamboo laminated wood, constructed with minimal materials and parts. Bamboo, which grows faster than trees, has garnered attention in recent years as a sustainable material. This product, which combines bamboo material, exceptional craftsmanship, and Nordic design, is simple yet possesses both cleverness and warmth, resulting in a high-quality item. The upper and lower tabletops are made of melamine-coated plywood, which is resistant to fingerprints and easy to clean. A step is provided between the tabletop and the wooden sides to prevent items on the tabletop from falling off. The lower tabletop is designed to be slightly smaller than the upper one to avoid interfering with legs when used as a side table. The tabletop is secured by hooking it onto the stainless steel rods of the frame. An oil finish enhances the elegant and fine texture of the bamboo, highlighting the beauty of its linear fibers. You can use this trolley in various settings, such as in the kitchen or workspace, and as a side table in the living room.

Kumano Folding Table

Reinterpreted bistro table

This is a folding table designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1978. It reinterprets the three-legged tables commonly used in Parisian bistros, enhancing functionality. By using ABS resin, a new material at the time, in the joint areas, the ease of opening and closing has been significantly improved. The holes in the tabletop are not only used when folding but also serve to hang the table on the wall with the included dedicated hooks. It won the Compasso d'Oro Award in 1981.

Seating system "Form Group"

The masterpiece of Robin Day, who was active during the British mid-century period.

The seating system "Form Group," designed by British designer Robin Day in 1960, has been reproduced under the supervision of the Robin & Lucienne Day Foundation. Instead of traditional methods of sofa manufacturing using wood and springs, it adopts a structure that supports the seat cushions with rubber webbing tape. By exposing the webbing tape, which is typically used in the internal structure of sofas, on the surface and elevating it as part of the design, it was considered one of the most advanced designs at the time of its release. The steel frame, cushion foam, and tables are designed to be flexibly combined, allowing for a variety of configurations to suit different lifestyles. It is one of Robin Day's representative works, which won the Design Center Award in 1961. Its unique yet sophisticated design creates a modern and high-quality space.

Pendant Lamp "Curl"

A gently arching majestic curve. A porcelain pendant lamp depicting the landscapes of Japan.

"Curl" is an enamel lamp created using the technique of "spoon shaping." The gently curving shape, which reverses smoothly on the inside and outside, was born from an exaggerated version of the process of rolling the rim outward, which is typically applied to enamel products for reinforcement and distortion prevention. The shape is inspired by the roofs of shrines and temples that have shaped the landscapes of Japan since ancient times. It uses the same curves as the majestic lines of shrine roofs. [Features] - The shade is produced using the technique of "spoon shaping." - The curled "raw" shape and thickness are achieved without the process of rolling the rim outward. - The white version comes with a white cord, while the charcoal gray version comes with a black cord. Regarding the adjustment of the lighting cord length: Please use the included cord hanger to adjust any excess cord, or bundle it and store it inside the ceiling cover. Additionally, we accept custom orders for sizes tailored to your desired length and modifications to include storage covers. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
