Thank you very much for your continued patronage. We will be holding the 2024 Cutting Heat Treatment Research Meeting (ZOOM online). 【Introduction to Seminar Content Part 2】 Associate Professor Tatsuya Sugihara from Osaka University Graduate School of Engineering will give a lecture titled "Clarification of the Effect of Molecular Adsorption on the Workpiece in Cutting Processing and Its Applications." In cutting processing, the adsorption of specific molecules on the free surface of the workpiece significantly changes the plastic deformation behavior of the material during processing, resulting in a substantial reduction in cutting resistance. This lecture will introduce the mechanisms and conditions of this phenomenon, as well as prospects for the development of new processing technologies utilizing this phenomenon. Today is the deadline, and we expect the largest number of participants ever. We hope you will join us and find it beneficial for your daily activities. <Schedule> Date: February 7, 2025 (Friday) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Login starts at 9:30 AM) <How to Apply> *Pre-registration required Participation fee: Free Application deadline: January 31, 2025 (Friday) <URL for Information> https://www.idemitsu.com/jp/business/lube/news/240106.pdf

We will be holding the 2024 Cutting Heat Treatment Research Meeting (ZOOM online). 【Introduction to Seminar Content Part 3】 Professor Goro Miyamoto from Tohoku University’s Institute of Metal Materials will give a lecture on "The Current State of Nitriding Prediction Technology." Nitriding involves the diffusion of nitrogen absorbed from the surface into the interior, while elements that generate nitrides in the material precipitate as alloy nitrides, hardening the area near the surface. Therefore, modeling this process requires consideration of both diffusion and precipitation. Recently, efforts have begun to model nitriding behavior without relying on physical models, and we will be introduced to the current state of nitriding prediction technology. Today is the deadline, and we expect the largest number of participants ever. We would be grateful if you could join us and find it useful for your daily activities. <Date and Time> February 7, 2025 (Friday) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Login starts at 9:30 AM) <Registration Method> *Pre-registration required Participation fee: Free Registration deadline: January 31, 2025 (Friday) <URL for Information> https://www.idemitsu.com/jp/business/lube/news/240106.pdf

[Introduction to Seminar Content Part 4] Mr. Akira Makino from Aichi Steel Corporation's Parts Development Department will give a lecture on "Efforts in the Development of Carburizing Steel Contributing to Automobiles." The carburizing steel used in automotive gears requires different strength characteristics depending on the applicable parts. The CO2 emissions during the carburizing process in gear manufacturing are particularly high, and there is an increasing demand for development steels that can shorten processing time. He will explain about the development steel from his company that can contribute to the reduction of such SCOPE 3 emissions. Today is the deadline, and we expect the largest number of participants ever. We would be grateful if you could join us and find it useful for your daily activities. <Schedule> Date: February 7, 2025 (Friday) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Login starts at 9:30 AM) <Registration Method> *Pre-registration required Participation fee: Free Registration deadline: January 31, 2025 (Friday) <URL for Information> https://www.idemitsu.com/jp/business/lube/news/240106.pdf

We will hold the 2024 Cutting Heat Treatment Research Meeting (ZOOM online). 【Introduction to Seminar Content Part 5】 Kitamura from our Sales Research Institute's Industrial Oil Development Group will explain "Productivity Improvement and Environmental Response with Various Cutting Oils." This presentation will introduce oil technology that enhances machining accuracy in electrical discharge machining using cutting oils, extends tool life, and improves efficiency in machining difficult-to-cut materials. Additionally, we will present environmental response technologies such as reducing the replenishment amount of water-soluble cutting oils, improving anti-corrosion properties, and reducing fumes from non-water-soluble cutting oils. Today is the deadline, and we expect the largest number of participants ever. We would be grateful if you could join us and find it useful for your daily activities. <Date and Time> February 7, 2025 (Friday) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Login starts at 9:30 AM) <How to Apply> *Pre-registration required Participation fee: Free Application deadline: January 31, 2025 (Friday) <URL for Information> https://www.idemitsu.com/jp/business/lube/news/240106.pdf

We will be holding the 2024 Cutting Heat Treatment Research Meeting (ZOOM Online). 【Introduction to Seminar Content No. 6】 Yamamoto from our Sales & Marketing Department will explain "The Impact of Lubricants Used in Production Lines on Heat Treatment Quality and Countermeasures." Various lubricants are used in production lines according to the purpose and application of each process. On the other hand, it has been reported that the residual lubricants from previous processes can affect the processing quality of subsequent steps. This presentation will discuss the impact of various lubricants used in production lines on heat treatment quality and the corresponding countermeasures. Today is the deadline, and we expect the largest number of participants ever.
