There are mainly three types of how sound is perceived, and the measures for soundproofing change depending on the differences. Here, we will introduce what specific differences exist. "Soundproofing" refers to preventing outside sounds or indoor sounds, encompassing mechanisms that prevent sound leakage, block external sounds, or reduce sound levels. The necessary measures to concretize soundproofing are referred to as "sound insulation" and "sound absorption." Sound insulation is a method that blocks sounds transmitted through the air to prevent them from passing through to the outside, reflecting and blocking them with walls, doors, and windows. On the other hand, sound absorption prevents sound reflection by absorbing sound, making it possible to prevent sound from passing through from the outside. We will introduce soundproofing measures for factories and construction sites. The "Compressor Soundproof Box" is delivered in a box shape assembled to match the dimensions (required internal dimensions) of the compressor. To address heat issues, a fan and soundproof cover are installed in the box. Additionally, in the chiseling work at construction sites, using Saint's soundproof panels can reduce noise from 96dB to 80dB, achieving a sound pressure reduction effect of approximately 1/6, or 16dB. Nanyang Wood Co., Ltd. conducts "Noise Source Surveys." We have two devices to explore the source of sound: a digital sound level meter and a visualization device using an acoustic camera, which will help identify the location of the sound. With the digital sound level meter, measurements can be taken from 30 dB to 130 dB. Measurements can be made in seconds, and the data can be graphed to show the fluctuations in noise levels. Additionally, measurements with the acoustic camera allow not only for the identification of the noise source but also for measurements of the surrounding space, enabling pinpoint confirmation of where sounds are coming from and the range of audible sounds.
