GIR joint to CLT connection

Glued-in Rod jointing (steel rod insertion adhesive jointing) is a method where a pilot hole is drilled into wooden members, a steel rod is inserted, and resin adhesive is filled to bond the members together. The assembly is simple, and the joining hardware is not visible, enhancing the aesthetic appeal. The largest mass production factory for large cross-section laminated timber for non-residential use, based on the Fukushima Innovation Coast Concept, is scheduled to start operations in June 2022!

As part of the Fukushima Innovation Coast Concept, our company is involved in the operation of the "Fukushima Advanced Laminated Timber Manufacturing Center (FLAM)," a large-scale production base for laminated timber established in the Tanashio Industrial Park in Namie Town. This facility produces laminated timber for non-residential wooden construction in a consistent manner from raw materials, contributing to regional revitalization and the promotion of wooden architecture. Full-scale operations are scheduled to begin in June 2022.
