To implement aluminum in society, innovative joining technologies for aluminum and copper are essential. There are many similar technologies for joining aluminum and copper, and Fuji Terminal Industry has adopted "FSW." Initially, tests were conducted using conventional FSW technology, but it often failed to meet electrical characteristics. To address the challenges of the joining surface between copper and aluminum, we developed our unique non-mixing FSW technology, 'FUJI-FSW.' Conventional terminal processing for aluminum cables uses compression terminals. For example, with a 150SQ terminal, it is necessary to crush it in two places, which has required a lot of effort and time on site. To solve this issue, we developed a crimp terminal for aluminum wires and a dedicated crimp die.
