The permeable and water-retaining paving material "Color Sand" is playing an active role in the "Tohoku Reconstruction." In the Tamaupa West area of Iwanuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, the land development work for the reconstruction group relocation site has been completed, and the construction of new homes is also progressing. Approximately 4,000 m² has been adopted for paths in the park and sidewalks around the retention pond. The paving of this product is barrier-free, allowing the elderly and those with disabilities to walk comfortably and safely. Additionally, it is resistant to freeze damage (freeze-thaw cycles), and there are sites in the Tohoku region that have been in use for over 10 years without any issues. In ITO City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the permeable and water-retaining paving material "Color Sand" has been adopted for the stairs at "Komuroyama Park." "Komuroyama Park" is a natural park centered around Mount Komuro, which stands at an elevation of 321 meters and is located within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. From the panoramic observation deck at the summit, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Izu Seven Islands floating in Sagami Bay and the Amagi Mountain Range. Our product has been used for the 273 steps leading to the "Dinosaur Plaza" within this park. Additionally, by allowing rainwater to permeate through the surface of the weed control work and return to the ground, it contributes to the prevention of global warming and the reduction of environmental impact. By using blast furnace crushed slag as the main aggregate, we have eliminated the peeling and flaking that were observed in the initial stages of conventional soil pavements.
