Screws may be small and inconspicuous, but they are commonly used in products close to us. They are important components that play a role in various fields, including automobiles, buildings, computers, robots, as well as in asteroid exploration and medical applications. Due to the wide variety of shapes and materials of screws depending on the components they fasten and their intended use, it can be confusing when it comes time to choose. On our company's website, in the "Useful Information about Screws" section, we explain the characteristics, types, and surface treatments of screws, providing foundational knowledge. We offer detailed information for field workers, designers, developers, and anyone interested in screws. For more details, please click the related link to visit our company's website.

Free membership registrationDo you know about the performance evaluation of screws? Screws are often perceived as standard products, but many of the precision screws we handle are developed through various performance evaluations based on customer requirements. Screws are fastening components that significantly impact the strength of mechanical structures. Loosening or breaking of screws can lead to major accidents. The performance evaluation of screws includes many items, such as the unique "axial force," "loosening," and "tensile strength," as well as the screw's own "durability," "mechanical strength," and "fatigue strength." Our company is equipped with testing facilities to conduct evaluations for each of these performance aspects. We have summarized the types of equipment we use for performance evaluation. Each test is explained with photos, detailing the overview of the testing machines, as well as the purpose and content of the tests. Some of the testing machines have been developed in collaboration with academic institutions. *Specific examples of tightening tests and delayed fracture tests have been added. Please take a look at the performance evaluations accumulated by Daiichi Kogyo Co., Ltd. as a total fastener manufacturer. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Free membership registrationWe have compiled a booklet highlighting the appeal of the "SSOO Nut (Heat-Press Insert Nut)" developed by Daiichi Kogyo Co., Ltd., a screw manufacturer. The "SSOO Nut" features fine surface irregularities on the shaft portion to enhance torque resistance. It is a heat-press insert nut that achieves "difficulty in turning" and "high pull-out strength." Even when tightened with high torque, it does not slip, preventing damage to resin products. Additionally, its excellent pull-out strength contributes to weight reduction by reducing the number of components. The booklet explains the characteristics of the SSOO Nut, such as its "difficulty in turning" and "high pull-out strength," and introduces examples of weight reduction achieved through actual use. *For more details, please refer to the related catalog.

Free membership registrationWhy was the SSOO nut adopted? We will explain it clearly through case studies. We are currently offering free materials that explain the benefits of adopting the SSOO nut. *This material was published in December 2023. The SSOO nut is a press-in insert nut that is gentle on resin parts and contributes to weight reduction. Even when tightened with high torque, the nut does not spin (co-rotate), preventing damage to the resin parts. Additionally, its high pull-out strength allows for a reduction in the number of nuts used compared to conventional methods. We introduce case studies and performance test results of the SSOO nut, along with the benefits of its adoption, accompanied by photos. We also include examples of reduced environmental impact by switching to iron SSOO nuts. [Contents] - Case Study 1: Protecting resin parts even under high torque tightening - Case Study 2: Contributing to weight reduction in EVs and FCVs - SSOO nut performance verification test results - Case Study 3: Reducing environmental impact with SSOO nuts If you are struggling with issues related to "fastening resin," such as nut co-rotation or resin damage, please take a look at our solution cases. You can download materials from related catalogs. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Free membership registrationDo you know how the screws around you are made? There are various methods for processing screws, including cutting processes that remove metal, plastic processes that shape metal by compressing it, and welding processes that melt and join metals together. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, as well as different shapes and materials it excels at processing. Our company possesses the manufacturing know-how necessary for screw production, including "forging," "cutting," and "welding." We also offer "composite processing" that combines these methods. By leveraging the characteristics of each process, we achieve optimal cost and quality in screw manufacturing. As a specialized group in fastening components, our company, which handles "forging," "cutting," and "welding," has published materials summarizing each of these technical details. For more information, please download and view the catalog page below.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce the 'SSOO Bolt,' which Daiichi Industry confidently recommends. We have modified the head shape of the SSOO Bolt to achieve weight reduction, and in response to user requests, we have reviewed the screw length and standardized it. Many people may wonder, "What is an insert bolt?" An insert bolt is a screw that is embedded in a resin part with its head and fastened with a nut. Since the bolt stands in the resin part, it offers the advantage of easier positioning during assembly. It is mainly used in resin parts such as junction boxes and busbars for HEVs, as well as automotive tail lights. The 'SSOO Bolt' is a resin embedded bolt (insert bolt) that enhances the fixing power when embedded in resin, thanks to its octagonal head shape and serrated grooves. 【Features】 ● It is less likely to cause deformation of the resin even when tightened with high torque, preventing issues such as loosening and withdrawal. ● It can be used for both simultaneous molding and post-embedding (thermal press fitting). Available sizes are M4, M5, M6, and M8. We have newly developed a low head suitable for thin-walled resin and standardized it (only M8). If you are considering "tightening resin parts strongly," please feel free to contact us.
