When CS-21 is sprayed or applied to hardened concrete and water curing is performed after hardening, unhydrated cement and unstable hydration products are rapidly transformed into more stable CSH-type crystals, filling the voids. This reaction will continue for a long time as long as moisture and unhydrated cement are present.
