RP Protection N, with its main component sodium silicate, penetrates deep into the concrete, reacts with calcium hydroxide within the concrete to produce C-S-H gel, and densifies the concrete, thereby suppressing the intrusion of deterioration factors such as carbon dioxide, chloride ions, and moisture.

• Subsidiary materials

RP Protection S is a surface impregnation material primarily composed of high-concentration silane. By applying it to the concrete surface, it penetrates into the concrete and forms a water-repellent layer on the surface of the structure, inhibiting the intrusion of water and chloride ions, which are factors that cause concrete deterioration.

RP Repair is a premixed type of polymer cement mortar for the repair of cross-sections of concrete structures. It is a one-component product that demonstrates stable performance simply by mixing it with the specified amount of water on-site.

• Reinforcement and repair materials

The Showa RP-1 method is an inorganic coating technique for repairing concrete structures of water management facilities such as agricultural water channels, conduits, and sluice gates that have deteriorated over time. It complies with the water quality standards set by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Ordinance No. 15, making it safe for use in drinking water facilities as well.
