Color Story: The Process of Color Recognition
Standardized as an international standard (CIE/ISO)! People perceive the color of objects through their eyes.
I will introduce the process of color recognition. Color is determined by the characteristics of light emitted from a light source and the characteristics of objects that reflect or transmit that light. If we understand the relationship between the light that enters the eye and color perception, it becomes possible to express color quantitatively. This is the principle of color measurement. The measurement methods for the characteristics of various lighting sources, the characteristics of objects that reflect or transmit light, and the sensitivity characteristics of the eye to light as color perception (known as color matching functions) are all standardized as international standards (CIE/ISO). [Process of Color Recognition] ■ The differences in the spectral composition that enters the eye result in variations in visual perception. ■ The cause of this visual perception is due to the characteristics of the light that enters the eye, which is a property of light. ■ This light is determined by the reflection (or transmission) characteristics of the illuminated object, which is a property of the object. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
