The "electrode-less lamp," which is gaining attention as a third option to replace mercury lamps alongside LEDs, has a structure that is completely different from the filament structure of traditional light bulbs. Because it has no electrodes, it offers a long lifespan and a gentle brightness. It is noteworthy that its power consumption and electricity costs are less than half of those of mercury lamps, and due to its light emission through magnetic force, there are no consumable materials in the lamp, resulting in a long lifespan. Additionally, its low heat generation and low power consumption help keep running costs down. This "electrode-less lamp" was certified as a product by Yokohama City in October 2023. It was also exhibited at the large-scale exhibition "Technical Show Yokohama 2024," which will be held at Pacifico Yokohama in February 2024, as well as in the presentation space on the second floor of the Yokohama City Hall. We would like to introduce the case of Une Iron Works Co., Ltd., which has implemented the electrode-less lamp "Eco Taro." The company was using metal halide and ceramic metal lamps (a total of 37 lights) and had no issues with workability during the day due to natural light from skylights, but they requested improvements to the working environment as workability was poor around sunset (average illuminance of 90-150 lx). We made a proposal. The average illuminance, which was 90-150 lux before the replacement, improved to about 250-280 lux after the replacement, creating an impression of "overall uniform brightness," and we were able to ensure consistent illuminance throughout the factory. We would like to introduce a case study of Fukuoka Material Warehouse, which has implemented the electrodeless lamp "Eco Taro." The company installed new poles for outdoor lighting, as there were no lights around the parking lot, making it difficult to recognize the entrance, which led to their adoption of this solution. The high-durability floodlight illuminates a wide area even with just one unit, without glare from the light source, thus preventing light pollution to the neighboring areas. When the electrodeless lamp was actually installed, many users reported that the brightness was equivalent to approximately 1.5 times the measured lux. It's hard to create shadows with diffused light! Here are examples of switching from mercury lamps and fluorescent lights to "Eco Taro."

We would like to introduce a case where "Eco Taro" was installed at the Fukuoka Logistics Center of a major logistics company. Due to the mercury treaty, the company needed to update its lighting as the manufacturing and import/export of mercury lamps and fluorescent lamps will be prohibited starting in 2021. After the replacement, the brightness increased by approximately 30%.
