[FEB-DD Series Introduction Case] Niigata Prefecture Automobile Maintenance Factory

Shortening the duct and achieving installation tailored to the site conditions! A case study of adoption in a factory with an area of approximately 800m2.

We would like to introduce a case where the "D.D-Multi" from the FEB-DD series was implemented at a vehicle maintenance workshop in Niigata Prefecture, following a demonstration with a demo unit (D.D-Spot) one month prior to installation. The unit was installed on the wall of a large automobile maintenance workshop, which has its shutter open during the day, creating an open front. The installation took place on a day when temperatures exceeded 30°C, but after installation, a cool breeze flowed through the workshop, much to the delight of the mechanics. Additionally, since large vehicles require the cabin to be moved, a 1-meter duct would have made contact, but we were able to shorten the duct and adapt the installation to the conditions on-site. Due to budget constraints, we have implemented a limit of three units per school, but the schools that have actually used them have expressed their satisfaction, saying "it's very cool." Since this is a lease introduction, the period from planning to installation for the spot coolers is short (possible within a year), and the representatives from Nakano Ward have also evaluated it positively, stating "it was good that we could install it quickly." [Heat Stroke Prevention Case Study] Bunkyo Gakuin University Girls' Junior and Senior High School

It was found that it can be implemented at a cost of less than one-fifth of the conventional equipment costs, and the decision to implement it was made!

Among the three gymnasiums in total, the main gymnasium of the academic building, which did not have air conditioning installed, had previously considered the introduction of air conditioning equipment. However, due to the excessively high costs, the introduction plan had been put on hold. Upon learning about our products, they decided to reconsider the installation. In the case of the "Spot Bazooka," it was found that it could be installed for less than one-fifth of the cost of conventional equipment, leading to the decision to proceed with the installation. As a result, during the summer before installation, the temperature inside the gymnasium exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, making classes and club activities difficult due to the heat. However, after installation, the environment became very cool and comfortable. Additionally, since this gymnasium is located underground, the humidity was relatively high. The installation not only lowered the temperature but also reduced humidity, which seems to enhance the feeling of coolness. Mist-type spot cooler "Cool Mist Line" for heatstroke prevention!

The key to preventing heatstroke! A mist-type spot cooler that doesn't get you wet!

The cooling and humidifying device "Cool Mist Line" allows workers to feel a temperature of 26-27°C in an environment of 40°C, keeping workers, the workspace, and products dry while providing cooling. It uses 99% air-based mist, mixing 7cc of water per minute for evaporative cooling (rust-free!). Each unit can cool an area from one tatami mat to 2 square meters, with a water usage of about 4 liters per day (for cooling). The air consumption is 28 liters per minute, so we recommend considering the capacity of the compressor (approximately 14 units can be used with a 5-horsepower compressor). During dry periods, it can be used for humidification and static electricity prevention by adjusting the water and air flow from the top of the unit. Low-cost energy-saving case using spot coolers utilizing well water.

We perform cleaning of bed sheets and bath towels used in hotels, and during the summer, the working environment was particularly harsh due to waste heat from large dryers. The workspace inside the factory is very spacious, making it nearly impossible to cool the entire area with air conditioning. While researching various options, I came across a technology called well water spot coolers. This system cleverly utilizes well water, which maintains a constant temperature (15-17°C) throughout the year, to create cool air and spot cool the workspace. We were already using a lot of well water, which helped keep running costs low. Since it doesn't use a compressor, the power consumption is limited to just the fan and pump, resulting in lower electricity costs.
