Examples of drone utilization in the energy sector

Explanation of power spot checks and restoration work during power outages!

The biggest advantage of using drones for inspecting electrical equipment is the significant reduction in work time and the ability to cut labor costs. Additionally, based on aerial images, it is possible to measure the overall safety of operations and quickly identify problems. In particular, the use of drones is suitable for inspecting hazardous equipment such as transmission towers and substations. By using drones in areas where workers cannot approach, it is possible to quickly access the towers, collect real-time images, and make diagnoses that would normally take several hours within just a few minutes. *For more detailed information, you can view the related links. Inspection utilizing the "Trial Order Certification Project" was conducted on the rainwater pipes in Chiba City.

The aim was to conduct a screening survey using the inspection drone "IBIS2" targeting areas that had not been inspected for a long time!

Liberaware Co., Ltd. conducted an inspection survey of rainwater storage facilities (rainwater pipes) on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Chuo Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. This survey was contracted as a discretionary contract for inspection work under Chiba City's "Trial Order Certification Project" and was carried out in collaboration with the Chiba City Sewage Pipeline Maintenance Cooperative. This initiative was realized following our company's achievement of discovering the driver's seat of a truck using a drone during a road subsidence incident in Yashio City, Saitama Prefecture, which drew interest from the Chiba City Sewage Maintenance Division. *For more details about the news, please refer to the related links. A sewer pipe inspection using the inspection drone "IBIS2" was conducted in Kobe City.

The "drone survey" conducted by flying "IBIS2" in places that are difficult for people to access!

Liberaware Inc. successfully conducted an investigation using "IBIS2" over approximately 600 meters of public sewer pipes in Kobe City. This case will be one of the sewer pipe investigation examples following the investigation in Kitakyushu City using "IBIS2" on May 30, 2025 (Friday). In Kobe City, sewer pipe investigations had previously been conducted using visual inspections and television cameras (self-propelled and floating types), but there were pipes that were difficult to investigate using conventional methods due to high water levels, sediment accumulation, and the presence of toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide. Therefore, we decided to conduct the investigation using our aerial drones. *For more details on the news, please refer to the related link.
