Enapter's "AEM Electrolyzer Hydrogen Production Device"

Adopts AEM (Anion Exchange Membrane) water electrolysis. A water electrolysis device that combines the advantages of alkaline water electrolysis and PEM water electrolysis.

**Three Features of AEM-type Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Device** 1. **Generation of High-Pressure, High-Purity Hydrogen** Hydrogen with a purity of 99.999% can be produced at a high pressure of 3.5 MPaG. The electrode reaction is the same as that of alkaline water electrolysis, but it does not use highly corrosive concentrated alkaline solutions. The cell structure, similar to PEM water electrolysis, features a membrane electrode assembly structure that offers excellent characteristics such as fast response, a wide operating range, and the ability to tolerate intermittent operation. 2. **Low Cost Achieved Without Precious Metals** AEM water electrolysis operates in a weak alkaline environment using hydroxide ions as carriers, eliminating the need for precious metals and thus achieving low costs. Additionally, the amount of water expelled from the cathode is minimal, and there is no need for electrolyte circulation, which simplifies the system. 3. **Modular Design Allows for Continuous Operation Even if One Unit Fails** One AEM stack can generate 0.5 Nm³ of hydrogen per hour with 2.4 kW of power, and multiple stacks can be stacked to achieve MW-class hydrogen production (210 Nm³ per hour and above). Furthermore, due to the modular design, if a malfunction occurs in one stack, only that specific stack needs to be repaired or replaced. This results in less maintenance effort compared to large hydrogen production systems.
