Greening Project: Weed Prevention Greening Method

A weed control method that not only suppresses weeds but is also environmentally friendly and easy to maintain.

The weed prevention greening method combines weed prevention soil and creeping thyme to create a beautiful environment and achieve an eco-friendly solution that is gentle for everyone in the future. The raw materials for the weed prevention soil are purified sediment from the Tedori River water supply and construction waste soil. By mixing in a lime-based solidifying agent, we have reprocessed materials that would typically become industrial waste into soil that suppresses weed growth. Additionally, by mixing in tile waste, we can create color and also produce cushioning effects. Creeping thyme is a perennial plant from the family Lamiaceae, native to subtropical regions from Southeast Asia to South America (it grows wild in Okinawa, Japan). As a seedless plant, it helps protect native species in Japan. The effectiveness of the weed prevention greening method lies in the synergistic effect of the weed prevention soil that suppresses weed growth and the creeping thyme that inhibits the growth of other weeds, making it possible to promote greening in an environmentally friendly and economical way. Introduction of slope greening examples at solar power plants [Case study collection available].

The slope with a geology of comprehensive mountain sand was improved through polysoil greening work, as soil was flowing out every time it rained. *Case study collection and technical materials are currently available.

We would like to introduce a case where our Polysoil Greening Work was implemented at a solar power plant. "Polysoil Greening Work" is a slope greening method that firmly coats soil and sand slopes with an acrylic resin, providing quick erosion prevention, reliable full greening, and significant cost-effectiveness. *NETIS Registration: KT-210082-A 【Challenges Before Construction】 Due to the geology of the entire area being sandy soil, soil would wash away with every rain, resulting in muddy water. 【Results After Construction】 - There was no runoff at all even during heavy rain on the third day after construction. - Full greening was achieved in about one month. *For more details, please refer to the materials available for download in PDF format or feel free to contact us.

Rooftop greening method - Aqua Soil method

Rooftop greening method: Aqua Soil method

The limited spaces on rooftops, parking lots, and within the premises present a harsh environment for plants to grow. However, the Aqua Soil method revitalizes the inherent strengths of plants while supplementing the lacking elements, allowing them to thrive healthily. Furthermore, the method's significant features of high water retention and air permeability enable a low-maintenance approach by relying solely on rainwater for irrigation. The distinctive fine roots not only avoid damaging the structures but also provide strong support against falling trees. The performance that I want to emphasize the most is "aging change." The Aqua Soil method, with its long track record, does not experience performance degradation such as soil reduction, compaction, or poor drainage over time. Rooftop gardens using the Aqua Soil method maintain their performance for as long as, or even longer than, the buildings themselves. This method fulfills the desire to maintain and enjoy rooftop greening safely and for a long time. 【Features】 ○ High water retention and air permeability. ○ Fine roots not only avoid damaging structures but also provide strong support against falling trees. ○ No performance degradation occurs. ● For other functions and details, please download the catalog.

Long fiber mixed soil spraying work - Roving soil method

Long fiber mixed topsoil spraying work - Roving soil method

This construction method is a slope greening technique using geotextiles (soil stabilization fibers). By incorporating long fibers, it reduces labor in the installation of fiber nets and diamond wire meshes, excels in erosion resistance, and creates a sustainable vegetation foundation, aiming for labor savings and a shortened process. 【Features】 ○ By incorporating long fibers, it has become possible to create a growth foundation with a thickness of about 5 cm, whereas previously only about 3 cm could be achieved at once. This method can now be applied to steep slopes compared to conventional soil spraying methods. ○ The incorporation of long fibers provides effects similar to the rooting of herbaceous and woody plants immediately after spraying, reinforcing the sprayed soil material and further enhancing erosion resistance. ● For other functions and details, please download the catalog.
