[Case Study Collection] Ink and Adhesive Containing Wastewater

Even beginners can easily perform tasks, reducing the workload! Here are examples of stable water quality in treated water.

This catalog is a collection of case studies on wastewater containing ink and adhesives that have introduced "Aqua Nature AL" and "Aqua Nature Plus." "We are unable to keep up with treatment due to poor sedimentation and increased wastewater volume." "We want to make it easy for anyone to handle due to the aging of the staff." "The use of quicklime has caused severe contamination within the treatment facility." These are some of the challenges we address. We think together with our customers about their troubles and work on improvements. Please take a moment to read it. [Contents] ■ Company A (Nagano Prefecture): Aqua Nature AL ■ Company B (Aichi Prefecture): Aqua Nature AL ■ Company C (Gifu Prefecture): Aqua Nature AL ■ Company D (Osaka Prefecture): Aqua Nature Plus ■ Company E (Osaka Prefecture): Aqua Nature AL *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Treatment of flexo ink cleaning wastewater generated in the printing process <Hyogo Prefecture>

A case where the adoption of a natural filtration method and the reuse of existing systems significantly reduced initial costs.

We would like to introduce a case of implementing the "Small Wastewater Treatment Device, Aqua Nature AL (AL-ST01)" in the paper processing industry. The wastewater treatment equipment had aged significantly and was corroded, necessitating an update, while there was a desire to minimize equipment costs as much as possible. After implementation, by changing to a single-agent chemical and a filtration method, the total running costs, including sludge disposal fees, were reduced. [Challenges] - The wastewater treatment equipment had aged significantly and was corroded, necessitating an update. - There was a desire to minimize equipment costs as much as possible. - There was a need for easy and quick processing. - There was a desire to reduce total running costs, including chemical costs, sludge disposal fees, and other consumables. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

[Case Study] Treatment of Grease Trap Drainage in Restaurants <Nationwide>

Easily collect sludge with a hand net! A case where waste disposal costs were reduced by filtering during transportation time.

We would like to introduce a case where "Aqua Nature SV filtration basket and reusable filtration bags" were implemented for grease trap cleaning. When using powdered coagulants, there was a concern about dust scattering when used in the grease traps within the building. After implementation, the ease of using the coagulants reduced the burden on workers, and filtering during transportation lowered the waste disposal costs. 【Case Overview (Partial)】 ■Challenges - We want to improve the water quality after cleaning the grease traps. - We want to reduce the waste disposal costs for the collected sludge. ■Results - The treated water is clean, so there is no need to dispose of it as waste. - The ease of using the coagulants means it does not burden the workers. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Reduction of Fluorine Concentration in the Metal Processing Industry <Toyama Prefecture>

A case where the reduction effect of fluoride and stable treatment effect have enabled discharge without dilution.

We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of "coagulants for fluorine treatment" in the metal processing industry. In the existing wastewater treatment system, fluorine treatment was performed using a single-stage coagulation process with lime, but the fluorine concentration in the treated water could not reach the target value, and it was diluted with well water before being discharged. After the introduction, by adjusting the inflow of concentrated and diluted wastewater, the concentration of the raw water became constant, allowing for consistently stable coagulation and fluorine treatment. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issues - The existing wastewater treatment equipment could not reduce fluorine to the target value. - There was variability in the raw water concentration, leading to unstable wastewater treatment. ■ Results - The fluorine concentration was successfully reduced to the target value. - Due to the reduction effect of fluorine and stable treatment effectiveness, it became possible to discharge without dilution. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Space-saving Equipment in the Cardboard Processing Industry <Toyama Prefecture>

Reduced medication costs and effort! A case where the installation space has been reduced to about half compared to the existing setup.

We would like to introduce a case where the "Aqua Nature AL, AN-1000 model" was implemented at a cardboard manufacturing factory. Due to the aging of the wastewater treatment equipment, an upgrade was necessary, but we wanted to keep costs as low as possible while also making the installation space as compact as possible, and we aimed to reduce running costs as well. After implementation, the need for quicklime and dewatering materials was eliminated, resulting in a significant reduction in sludge volume and a decrease in waste disposal costs. 【Case Overview (Partial)】 ■Challenges - Update the wastewater treatment equipment due to aging while keeping costs down - Reduce the number of chemicals used to lessen the workload ■Results - The capital investment was about one-third of the cost when the existing equipment was installed - The number of chemicals used was reduced from five to one, lowering chemical costs and workload *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Reduction of BOD and COD in the Metal Processing Industry <Ishikawa Prefecture>

The case where the elimination of hazardous substances (dilute sulfuric acid) from the used chemicals has reduced storage tasks and improved safety.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "Aqua Nature Plus" and "Aqua Blaster" at a metal processing factory. The challenge was that the compounds used for barrel polishing contained organic substances that increased BOD and COD, making it impossible to meet the internal standards for BOD and COD with the current treatment method (coagulation treatment). After implementation, the number of chemicals used was reduced from five to two, significantly decreasing the effort required for chemical replenishment and adjustment work. BOD and COD levels also dropped to below 30 mg/L, clearing the internal standards. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Challenges - Reduce BOD and COD, which exceed internal standards, to below the internal standard values. - Simplify the adjustment of coagulation issues as much as possible during trouble occurrences. ■ Results - Reduced running costs by over 4 million yen annually, bringing them down to about 50% of pre-implementation levels. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
