The NT3100sc model is a nitrate meter that measures nitrate and nitrite ions dissolved in water using ultraviolet absorbance photometry. Total nitrogen discharge is regulated under water quality total amount regulations. The concentration of nitrate and nitrite ions is used as an indicator for managing the nitrification process in denitrification processes and advanced treatment in order to reduce total nitrogen discharge.
