Durability of NK Rust Stabilization Anti-Corrosion Method: Examination of Coating Wear
Even considering the risks of coating deterioration due to factors other than ultraviolet rays, the durability is equivalent to or greater than that of the Rc-I series!
In general, the durability of a coating film is examined based on the gloss retention rate, and the durability period is defined as the time when the gloss decreases to 60%. Unlike organic paints, inorganic paints tend to retain gloss more easily, so it is not appropriate to assess durability based on gloss retention rate; instead, it should be examined based on the rate of film wear. The wear rate of the fluororesin coating film is said to be 0.5μm, which is almost equivalent to Seal Coat 007M, but since the film thickness is about twice as much, the lifespan of the coating film will be longer. Considering the risks of coating degradation due to factors other than ultraviolet rays, such as rust formation due to water penetration, the durability of the "NK Rust Stabilization Anti-Rust Method" can be regarded as equivalent to or greater than that of Rc-I series. 【Coating Specifications (Excerpt)】 <Standard Application Amount kg/m2> ■ Solvent-free epoxy resin-based rust stabilization paint NK-100E (primer): 0.08 ■ Inorganic paint Seal Coat 007M (intermediate coat): 0.10 ■ Inorganic paint Seal Coat 007M (top coat): 0.10 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
