A double-sided adhesive tape coated with a biomass-derived adhesive on post-consumer recycled (PCR) PET substrate has been introduced!

Awareness of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is increasing worldwide. Efforts are being made to reduce the "environmental footprint," which is an index of the environmental impact, of consumer devices such as smartphones that are essential in daily life. Adhesive tape is one of the auxiliary materials incorporated into various devices for securing components. We have developed the tesa® 6887x series, which uses recycled materials and natural materials by reviewing each material. This is a double-sided adhesive tape made from PET substrate that is commonly used for securing and assembling various devices in the electronics industry. At tesa, we will continue to pursue the sustainability of our adhesive tape products. 【Features】 - 100% of the PET material for the substrate and liner is made from post-consumer recycled materials (PCR). PCR materials are collected after being in the hands of consumers as plastic materials and are newly recycled materials. - A biomass-derived acrylic adhesive is used, with 75% of the carbon in the adhesive coming from biomass (measured according to the bio-based concentration testing standard: ASTM D6866 carbon-14 analysis method).
