[Construction Example] Rockfall protection fence construction with posts installed directly into the ground.

Case study of rockfall prevention and mitigation works in a 250m2 area of rock and gravel soil!

We would like to introduce a case where our wire rope-supported rockfall protection fence, "Rabbit Fence," was installed for the rockfall countermeasure work at the slope of the Nada Industrial Park. The project was commissioned by the Kurayoshi City Hall in Tottori Prefecture and was carried out within the prefecture. It involved rockfall countermeasure and prevention work over an area of 250m² with boulder and gravel soil. The "Rabbit Fence" employs an anchoring foundation method for fixing the posts, allowing the posts to be installed directly into the ground. 【Case Overview】 ■ Project Name: Rockfall Countermeasure Work at Nada Industrial Park Slope ■ Location: Tottori Prefecture ■ Construction Date: August 2023 (Year 5 of Reiwa) ■ Area: 250m² ■ Soil Type: Boulder and Gravel *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Wire rope-supported rockfall protection fence "Rabbit Fence"

Due to the hinge design, it is possible to adjust the installation angle relative to the slope! The required support height does not change even on steep gradients.

The "Rabbit Fence" is a wire rope-supported rockfall protection fence that does not require a concrete foundation. It can be installed on slopes near rockfall sources, allowing it to catch falling rocks before significant rockfall energy is generated. Additionally, since it does not require the construction of a concrete foundation, there is no need to secure space for concrete trucks or concrete pump trucks to enter and install, making it possible to construct as long as a compressor for drilling can be brought in. 【Features】 ■ Can shorten the distance to the rockfall source ■ Can keep the height of the posts low ■ Can be installed in narrow locations ■ Can minimize the impact on the landscape due to terrain alteration ■ Can reduce maintenance costs *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Temporary precast concrete protective fence TP Preguard

Confirming the guidance performance of a passenger car at a speed of 70 km/h (collision angle 20 degrees)!

The TP Pre-Guard is a temporary protective fence that can absorb impact forces by allowing the fence itself to slide and move during a vehicle collision. The main body features a rigid protective fence structure, and the connection points are designed to allow rotation and extension upon impact from a vehicle, enabling several units to slide and absorb the vehicle's impact force. By allowing movement of the product, it satisfies the performance criteria outlined in the "Installation Standards and Explanations for Protective Fences," while also improving economic efficiency and ease of installation for temporary protective fences.

High-performance rockfall cushioning material "High-Peam"

A rockfall cushioning material that utilizes the characteristics of expanded polystyrene, addressing the challenges of stacking thickness and cost.

"High Beam" is a rockfall mitigation material that dramatically enhances rockfall energy absorption performance by reinforcing expanded polystyrene with high-strength polypropylene bands (PP bands). Due to the restraining reinforcement effect of the PP bands, each block becomes less likely to break and tends to exhibit behavior closer to that of an elastic body, making it durable and excellent in recovery power. Compared to conventional expanded polystyrene, it allows for a reduction in stacking thickness, enabling significant cost savings. 【Features】 ■ Reinforced restraint of expanded polystyrene with high-strength PP bands ■ Durable and excellent recovery power ■ Reduced stacking thickness ■ Widely disperses impact pressure ■ Contributes to cost reduction *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Hyogo Prefecture Construction Case Study: Reinforcement Method for Existing Rockfall Protection Fences and Noise Control Measures During Demolition

This is a construction method that does not require measures for noise, dust, or high-alkali water treatment during concrete demolition.

Here is a case study of the "Stronger Method" implemented in Hyogo Prefecture. As a result of the construction, the fence height increased from 2.0m to 3.0m, with a construction length of L = 69.0m. This method does not require the use of small heavy machinery, so there is no need to cut down surrounding trees. Additionally, excavation of slopes and the use of concrete are not necessary during construction, allowing for the reuse of existing structures. 【Case Study】 ■ Raised type (Fence height: H = 2.0 → 3.0m, Construction length: L = 69.0m) ■ Hyogo Prefecture (Construction: Fiscal Year 2018) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
