Introduction to the relationship between "air casters" and runways.
"Air casters" are a system that lifts heavy objects 0.25mm off the floor using a film of air, reducing gravity to 3/1000 for transportation.
To form an air film between the runway and the load, a certain level of surface finish is required for the runway. If the finish is insufficient, it will not perform adequately and may lead to early damage of the product.
Additionally, if there are gaps or steps in the runway that allow air to escape, it will not meet performance standards. If such areas are discovered, please promptly carry out repairs.
As a temporary measure, it is also possible to use strong tape to cover gaps.
[Relationship between Air Casters and Runway]
- Our product forms an air film between the runway and the load, reducing friction resistance.
- If the runway has a slope, there is a risk that the load may flow down the slope as soon as air pressure is applied to lift it, so caution is necessary.
*The allowable slope is up to an average of 0.3%, and locally it can accommodate slopes of about 0.5%.
