[Case Study of Tamerba] Grid-Connected Battery "Omuta Battery Storage"

Equivalent to the daily usage of about 300 households! Contributes to the effective use of renewable energy and stable power supply.

We would like to introduce a case study of the industrial and grid-connected energy storage system "TAMERBA," which has been implemented in Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture. As part of the NEDO subsidy project, the grid-connected battery "Omuta Storage Facility" was established. Nishimu was responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of the storage system. This storage facility contributes to the effective utilization of renewable energy equivalent to the daily usage of approximately 300 households and ensures stable power supply. As an environmentally friendly solar cell, light, transparent, and flexible solar cells are required. However, a technique that satisfies these three points has not yet been reported. On the other hand, a transparent solar cell using a semiconductor material such as transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) has been proposed as a candidate that satisfies the above requirements. The present invention relates to a light, transparent, and flexible photoelectric conversion device using a TMD, and further to a technology that enables provision of a transparent solar cell capable of enlarging an area by an inventor's ingenuity.
