[Case Presentation] A must-see for those in the logistics industry! "Contactless Management" for COVID-19 infection control!

【RFID Trial Set】This is a valuable trial set that includes a reader/writer and 300 IC labels (with sequential numbers).

To those responsible for efforts to prevent COVID-19 infections and spread on-site, here is information on "contactless management" and "significant reduction of time and effort." 【RFID Trial Set】 - RFID Reader/Writer (choose from two types) - IC labels with serial numbers from 1 to 300 (300 pieces) ◆ Unlike barcode management, RFID allows for the simultaneous reading of "large amounts of data" from "a distance," even with boxes or covers present. ◆ The coronavirus can spread through droplets from a person's "sneezes" or "coughs," which can attach to objects from hands (contact infection). ◆ RFID management, which reduces opportunities to touch objects, is effective not only in protecting the workplace but also in safeguarding customers. Do you have any of these concerns regarding product management? - Managing a large inventory is challenging - Counting products one by one visually - Managing with barcodes, but scanning is difficult - Barcode positions vary by product - Barcodes are inside covers or boxes - Handling delicate products requires careful attention - It takes a lot of time and effort! RFID can solve these issues in one go!

Manufacturing achievements: Easy automatic input by simply placing, easy achievement input by touch.

Easily and reliably collect project performance data: Utilize RFID for automatic recognition, input work amounts with touch operations, and suppress data loss with resend and spool functions.

The traditional paper documents (instruction sheets and product labels) are smartened up with RFID to grasp the progress of processes, collecting (notifying) data on each process's equipment, operators, and status (setup, manufacturing, interruption, etc.) along with change time data. The points of "easy and reliable" are threefold: (1) Easy installation of equipment => just place it (2) Easy operation => just place/remove it (3) Reliable notifications => mutual communication, accumulation and retransmission in case of disconnection The "touch panel display-equipped, autonomous operation-type RFID achievement information collection terminal" installed at each process site will notify data to designated PCs/servers via wireless LAN/wired LAN. Since the notification destination is set in advance on the terminal, it can be used simply by turning on the power at the site. On-site operations also collect status by simply "placing/removing" smartened documents and operator cards utilizing RFID. The display can show messages according to the connection status with the notification destination and the data reception status, and it is equipped with a retransmission function for undelivered data. In the case of utilizing traditional paper documents, manufacturing can continue even in the event of a system failure.

RFID: Use Case - Automation of Location Management with Forklifts

Achieved location management, enhanced traceability, and prevention of defective product outflow! Improved productivity.

At a major automotive parts manufacturer, products after casting were temporarily stored on pallets in multiple warehouses until they were put into the processing stage. They were placed according to product type, but individual location management was not possible, leading to time-consuming searches through all target products. Additionally, preventing the outflow of defective products was also an important issue. By achieving location management at the individual item level, forklift operators can be instructed on the location of products and where to transport them, thereby improving productivity. Furthermore, warnings are issued when transporting specified items such as defective products. [Challenges] - Products after casting are temporarily stored on pallets in multiple warehouses until they are put into the processing stage. - While they are placed according to product type, individual location management is not possible, resulting in time-consuming searches through all target products. - Preventing the outflow of defective products is also an important theme. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

RFID: Use Case - Equipment Parts Inbound/Outbound and Location Management

Instant bulk reading! Switch from barcode to RFID to reduce inbound and outbound operations by 90%.

A major industrial equipment manufacturer switched from manual operations to barcode management; however, they faced significant burdens in inventory management tasks such as shipping, receiving, and stocktaking. Additionally, items that were placed flat without being shelved had unclear location management, making it time-consuming to locate the items. To address this, instead of reading barcodes one by one during shipping and receiving, they implemented an RFID handheld reader to scan all at once, reducing work time by over 90%. They were able to identify items in the flat storage area in about 20 seconds, cutting search time by 60-80%. [Challenges] - Although they switched from manual operations to barcode management, the workload for inventory management tasks such as shipping, receiving, and stocktaking remains high. - Items placed flat without shelving have unclear location management, leading to time-consuming searches. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

RFID: Use Case - Automatic Reading of Inbound and Outbound Inspection <Warehouse>

RFID automatic reading gates (mats) reduce inbound and outbound shipping operations by over 90%! Even during peak seasons, we respond according to schedule.

At a major logistics company, 100 to 200 apparel items were packed into a single cardboard box for shipping and receiving. Additionally, since the inspection for shipping and receiving was conducted manually, the workload was significant, and there were times during peak seasons when schedules could not be met. With the RFID automatic reading gate, the shipping and receiving process was shortened by over 90%. After reading the shipping and receiving list, the reading is completed simply by passing through on a cart over the mat. [Challenges] ■ 100 to 200 apparel items packed into a single cardboard box for shipping and receiving ■ The manual inspection for shipping and receiving (counting items) resulted in a heavy workload, and there were times during peak seasons when schedules could not be met. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
