The "Subsurface Thermometer" from Ocean Electronics is a device that pierces the deep seabed with a spear to measure the subsurface temperature beneath the seabed. Inside the spear, multiple thermistors are arranged, allowing for simultaneous measurement of subsurface temperatures at multiple vertical points.
