Snow melting and snow removal facility equipment - Heat pump snow melting system

Effective utilization of environmentally friendly natural energy: Heat pump snow melting system.

The heat pump snow melting system is a system that generates high-temperature heat from low-temperature natural energy sources such as air and groundwater captured by the heat pump, and provides that heat to the circulating water for snow melting. It utilizes natural heat sources like air, groundwater, and hot springs, making it an environmentally friendly snow melting system that does not emit exhaust gases. Since it can obtain a greater amount of snow melting heat than the power consumption, the electricity costs are approximately one-third to one-fourth lower compared to electric heating methods. The heat pump can be installed in a unit type, making installation easy. For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

[Construction Example] Pipe Bottom Installation Type - Heat Pump Press Snow Melting Facility

The sewage heat extraction pipe is made of high thermal conductivity material! Efficiently melts snow using only the thermal energy from sewage.

We would like to introduce a case study of the installation of a "pipe-bottom type heat pump snow melting facility" at the Niigata Elementary School intersection. This is a simple snow melting system that circulates antifreeze between the sewer pipe and the roadway snow melting section. However, by using materials with high thermal conductivity for the sewer heat extraction pipes and high thermal conductivity concrete for the snow melting pavement, it is designed to efficiently melt snow using only the thermal energy from the sewer. Additionally, this facility was installed as part of a demonstration project by the National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the research results have been published as guidelines. 【Facility Overview】 ■ Construction Year: 2018 ■ Location: Niigata Elementary School Intersection ■ Installer: National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (2018 Innovative Sewer System Demonstration Project (B-DASH Project)) ■ Contractor: Kowa Co., Ltd., Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd., Niigata City Joint Research Group *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Roof snow melting (tiled roof / concealed copper pipe) snow removal

It is possible to install copper pipes under the tiles in a "concealed type"! There are also examples of melting snow on the tiled roofs of temple gatehouses!

We would like to introduce our "Snow Melting for Tile Roofs (Tile Roofing / Concealed Copper Pipe System)." For snow melting on tile roofs, many systems involve exposed piping on the surface of the tiles, primarily using rubber hoses or SUS flexible pipes arranged along the surface of the tiles. However, our installation allows for a "concealed" method where copper pipes are laid beneath the tiles. In our snow melting system for tile roofs, we raise the tile battens and place thin copper pipes between the sheathing board and the tiles. However, due to the increased resistance in the piping, we cannot extend the piping length for each circuit, which tends to result in a higher number of branches. [Features] - Raise the tile battens and place thin copper pipes between the sheathing board and the tiles. - Due to the increased resistance in the piping, we cannot extend the piping length for each circuit, leading to a tendency for a higher number of branches. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Roof snow melting (metal roofing/W-type roof) snow management, snow removal, snow melting.

Handle the snow before it accumulates! It is designed to catch and melt the snow that comes in.

Our company offers "Roof Snow Melting (Metal Roofing/W-Type Roof)." In typical houses, the eaves protrude from the exterior walls in shapes such as gable, hip, or shed roofs, causing snow to slide off. In snowy regions, the snow that slides off these eaves can extend outwards (known as "seppi"), and icicles may grow at the tips. The "W-Type Roof" is designed to save fuel as much as possible and minimize damage from seppi and icicles by incorporating a triangular dam at the eaves of the roof, which catches and melts the incoming snow. [Features] ■ Saves fuel as much as possible ■ Minimizes damage from seppi and icicles ■ Incorporates a triangular dam at the eaves of the roof *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Roof snow melting (metal roofing/M-type roof) snow shoveling, snow throwing, snow clearing.

Drain rainwater and meltwater through internal gutters! It is possible to reduce the heat dissipation rate to about one-third per hour.

Our company offers "Roof Snow Melting (Metal Roofing / M-Type Roof)." The structure, which features a parapet around the roof perimeter and an internal gutter at the center of the roof to drain rainwater and melted snow through the internal gutter, is referred to as an "M-Type Roof." Compared to conventional sloped roofs, it does not create icicles or snow buildup at the eaves, allowing for more flexible time constraints and reducing the heat dissipation rate to about one-third. While it is highly energy-efficient, this method is difficult to adopt unless implemented during new construction, as it imposes constraints on the building's structure. [Features] ■ Parapets are installed around the roof perimeter, and an internal gutter is placed at the center of the roof. ■ Snow moves from both sides of the peak towards the valley's internal gutter while being heated on the roof surface. ■ Unlike conventional sloped roofs, it does not create icicles or snow buildup at the eaves. ■ Time constraints are more flexible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

High efficiency with electric power! Snow melting without water dispersion can be implemented even in areas where groundwater is difficult to obtain.

Snow melting with a heat pump! It is said to have a low environmental impact and to be energy-saving!

When it comes to snow management in snowy regions, many people think of "sprinkler snow melting," which uses groundwater to melt snow, or "snow melting pipes." However, our specialty is "non-sprinkler snow melting," which can be implemented even in areas where groundwater is difficult to obtain. In the past, the overwhelming majority of heat sources were boilers that burned kerosene or gas, but in the last decade, a new force has emerged: snow melting using "heat pumps" that generate hot water using electricity. Under good conditions, these systems can produce hot water with about four times the energy compared to the electricity consumed, resulting in lower environmental impact and energy savings. For those who would like to see a demonstration of the actual equipment, we have it operating daily in our parking lot on National Route 117, so please feel free to stop by. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

[Construction Example 2] Detached House Roof Snow Melting (Hot Water Type, Exposed Method)

We will install stainless steel piping with excellent long-term durability, or SGP piping with excellent rigidity!

We would like to introduce a case study of roof snow melting (hot water type, exposed method) for detached houses. For existing houses with new finishing materials or stainless steel sheet metal on the roof, the exposed method is suitable if you only wish to melt snow in certain areas. We manufacture fixed brackets to match the working range of the finishing materials and arrange stainless steel piping, which has excellent long-term durability, or SGP piping, which has superior rigidity. Compared to concealed methods, the atmospheric radiation from the surface of the snow melting pipes is greater, so it is necessary to increase the temperature of the circulating liquid, which tends to result in about a 10% increase in fuel consumption. 【Case Overview】 ■ Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture ■ Kerosene boiler ■ 134m2 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case 12] Complex Cultural Facility Roof Snow Melting (Hot Water Type, Concealed Method)

The concrete slab is cut out only around the perimeter, and snow-melting panels are installed! Aluminum composite three-layer pipes are used.

We would like to introduce a case study of roof snow melting (hot water type, concealed method) installation. In the construction of a highly designed complex cultural facility, the design was progressing with a structural strength capable of withstanding 6 meters of snow. However, due to concerns about the impact of snow falling from the roof perimeter onto the surrounding area, it was decided to incorporate roof snow melting urgently. The concrete slab was box-cut only at the perimeter to install the snow melting panels, and considering the long piping length and evaporation of hot water due to induced lightning, aluminum composite three-layer pipes were adopted instead of copper pipes. 【Case Overview】 ■ Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture ■ Wall-mounted gas boiler ■ 477 m² *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Development Case] Snow Melting System Utilizing Independent Power Supply

Introducing a case of developing a disaster-resistant snow melting system connected to an independent power supply!

Our company is developing snow damage countermeasure products using surface heating elements. In light of the difficulties faced by disaster victims in keeping warm during the Great East Japan Earthquake, we decided to work on developing a system that can easily secure thermal energy even in emergencies. The developed system warms the surface heating element to around 20°C to facilitate snow melting. While the surface heating element has the advantages of quick startup and the ability to be cut to any size, it cannot generate heat without electricity. To address this, we developed a system that combines commercial power sources with batteries and an independent solar power generation system, allowing for power generation even during outages. [Case Study] ■ Expected Disaster: Snow Damage ■ Product: Snow damage countermeasure product using surface heating elements *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Road heating <hot water circulation method>

Road heating using warm water circulation! We also introduce a case study at the Korinbo intersection in Ishikawa Prefecture.

The heated water circulation road heating system generates warm water by heating clean water with a gas boiler and circulates it through heat radiation pipes (steel pipes) to melt snow. Since it does not spray water, concerns about pedestrians getting wet from splashes and water mist are reduced. It is considered to be more efficient than electric heating systems over large areas. In the case of the Korinbo intersection in Ishikawa Prefecture, an epoxy asphalt mixture is used in the protective layer around the pipes to create a robust pavement structure that suppresses the bending of the heat radiation pipes and adequately follows the deformation caused by traffic loads. 【Key Points】 ■ Durable ■ Melts snow with warm water ■ Reduces splashing *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
