Natural is definitely better, isn't it?

It is a treasure from nature, widely used in building materials, resin molding, nails, and more. It is one of the materials that cannot be changed in color like other colored items, making it closer to nature.

【Basic Knowledge】Flaky Filler Natural Mineral 'Mica' Repco Mica

◆ Developing a stable supply system centered around our domestic factories ◆ High cost-performance due to processing raw materials with dry grinding! ◆ Custom-made products are also available

"Mica" is a mineral classified as a silicate aluminum compound. The mica products we handle are high-purity, high-quality, high-aspect-ratio flaky powders, and we have established a stable supply system centered around our domestic factories. We offer a wide range of grades with average particle sizes from a few micrometers to several hundred micrometers, allowing for flexible responses tailored to our customers' applications and requests. Additionally, since we mainly process raw materials for dry grinding, we achieve high cost performance. 【Features】 ■ A mineral classified as a silicate aluminum compound ■ Harmless to the human body and eco-friendly ■ High-purity, high-quality, high-aspect-ratio flaky powders ■ A stable supply system centered around our domestic factories ■ Flexible responses tailored to customers' applications and requests Please feel free to download for more detailed information. ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Repcomica S Series (Gold Mica)

General grade with high purity and high aspect ratio. Phlogopite, derived from the Greek word "phlogopos," meaning "like a flame."

The "Repkomica S Series" is a product made from naturally occurring mica that has been refined and crushed at a domestic factory. It maximizes the high elasticity inherent in mica through manufacturing techniques developed over many years, resulting in a high aspect ratio (average particle size/thickness), which is a key feature of flake fillers. When incorporated into industrial materials such as plastics, paints, and rubber, it is expected to impart various functionalities centered around rigidity, dimensional stability, and heat resistance. 【Features】 ■ Long-term supply stability due to abundant reserves ■ Quality stability through domestic production system ■ No crystalline silica detected (detection level: below quantification limit) ■ Various grades available based on average particle size ■ Flexible response to custom grade orders and surface treatments ■ Short delivery times supported by domestic bases Please feel free to download for more detailed information. ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

[Basic Knowledge] Rigidity (Bending Elasticity) and Dimensional Stability of Repcomica [Study Edition]

The rigidity (bending elasticity) that is a characteristic of mica! It also has a small molding shrinkage rate and excellent dimensional stability, making it suitable for various industrial parts!

Rigidity (Bending Elasticity) Improves the strength of the product and allows it to withstand bending and twisting. Dimensional Stability Reduces shrinkage rates to prevent warping and cracking, and minimizes molding shrinkage to provide surface reinforcement effects. Mica balances molding shrinkage in both the MD (machine direction) and TD (transverse direction). Due to the above characteristics, it is used in various applications such as automotive parts, electronic devices, films, marine coatings, exterior materials, interior materials, sealants, adhesives, gasket materials, and friction materials. [Example] What percentage of mica should be added to plastics and films? [Filling Rate]

I will answer the questions that have been asked so far. Please use this to help resolve your issues. If you still cannot find a solution, feel free to contact us.◎

Q. What is the recommended filling amount when using mica as a filler? A. This is actually a surprisingly common question, but it cannot be answered definitively... Finding the right balance that maximizes the effect of the filler without compromising the function of the resin is quite challenging. The aspect ratio and average particle size vary for different sizes, which slightly changes the properties of the mica. For applications where you do not want any color to show, M grade (white mica) is recommended, while for those focused on physical properties, S grade (gold mica) is preferred. Depending on the type of resin and its application, the grade, size, and filling amount will all change, so I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the optimal filling amount in a meeting. Lastly, if we consider only the properties of mica without taking into account the type of resin or the thickness of the film, the properties of mica tend to improve as the average particle size increases, and there is a tendency for the physical properties to significantly increase with a filling rate of 20% to 30% or more. [Custom Item] Fired mica, mica that has been heat-treated in advance◎

Heating mica in advance at high temperatures removes the minute moisture contained within it and has the effect of volatilizing and burning off impurities.

This is mica that has been pre-fired at high temperatures. By removing moisture from the mica, it prevents the moisture inside from escaping and foaming during compounding at high temperatures. Firing the mica at high temperatures results in fewer impurities and lower loss on ignition compared to standard products. Feel free to download for more detailed information. ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
