In the hot water supply system, it prevents the wasteful disposal of expansion water, contributing to water conservation and energy savings.

In a hot water system without an expansion tank, the expansion water is discarded outside the system through the safety valve. Each time the boiler is turned on and off, expansion water is discarded, resulting in a significant loss of energy. However, by using an expansion tank to seal the system, the previously discarded expansion water is temporarily absorbed within the expansion tank. This leads to water conservation benefits and also contributes to energy savings.
