Wood species: Rubber (Parawood, Rubberwood)
Variety: Euphorbiaceae, broadleaf tree
Specific gravity: 0.64
Origin: Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand
Characteristics: Slightly soft. The grain is straight to slightly interlocked. The surface texture is somewhat coarse. Processing is relatively easy, but care is needed for painting.
Uses: Counters, tabletops, shelves, interior materials, furniture materials, building materials, study desks, stair materials, handrails, borders, main posts, sub-posts, custom materials, frame materials.
Cautions: Coloring agents without body pigments may cause blowback. Emphasize film coloring to minimize the visibility of laminated joints. When planing, it is prone to tear-out. It has extremely low decay resistance. It is susceptible to blue stain fungi, and if it remains in a high moisture state for too long, it can become black and dirty wood, so it is necessary to dry it quickly.
