We would like to introduce a case study on the measurement and control system of a hydraulic continuously variable transmission testing device using a real-time operating system. In the performance evaluation tests of hydraulic continuously variable transmissions, there are endurance tests that exceed several hundred hours and load operations based on specific schedules. High-speed data measurement performance is required to capture transient phenomena, and stability that can withstand the endurance test duration is necessary to quickly stop the equipment in the event of an anomaly. In building the new system, we selected the PXI system and LabVIEW RT as products that meet these challenges.
