Salt spray test
Solving customer problems with advanced analysis and "analytical skills"! Salt spray test to evaluate corrosion resistance.
Metal materials used in industrial products are treated with surface treatments such as plating and painting to prevent rust formation; however, rust may still occur after prolonged use. The "salt spray test" is a test designed to evaluate the corrosion resistance of metal materials with painted coatings, plated coatings, and inorganic/organic coatings by promoting corrosion. It allows for the assessment of corrosion behavior that typically takes a long time to develop, compressed into a shorter evaluation period. Additionally, the "salt spray cyclic test" combines salt spray with drying and wetting to recreate conditions that are closer to the actual usage environment of the product. The corrosion cycles of salt spray, drying, and wetting can be freely combined according to customer needs, so please feel free to consult us. [Types of Salt Spray Tests] ■ Neutral Salt Spray Test (NSS) ■ Acetic Acid Salt Spray Test (AASS) ■ Copper Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray Test (CASS) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
